Description

Hi there

Every time an external program is started from AMC (e.g. texmaker, gedit, evince,...), it creates a zombie process when it exits. If one works intensively with AMC he/she can generate dozens of zombies, resulting in a loss of performance. Exiting AMC will destroy all zombies.

Can this be improved?

Cheers,
Michele

PS: We are using using AMC 1.5.2 on Fedora Linux 40 (soon 41).

Thanks for the report. The problem should be fixed with git:29c8213283bfd68e8f6e734fc23d07feffcd19db.

Merci, Alexis!

I just tested it by installing AMC from the development tree on a Fedora 42 system and it worked, no more zombies. Do you already know where you are going to release it?

PS: I encountered a minor issue when compiling the documentation; some DejaVu Sans fonts could not be found.

Thanks for testing. The next release will be a long time coming…
