AMC:latex_engine option does not work properly after r1495 (Bug #247)

Description

AMC:latex_engine option does not work properly after r1495. I am attaching a .tex file which used to work properly before r1495. If we use it after r1495 it generates a Documents have been prepared notification but no Subject, Solution and Catalog files are produced. My default latex engine is pdflatex while in the .tex file I'm setting it to xelatex via AMC:latex_engine option. If you check the Command Output Details you will notice that AMC:latex_engine is not updating the LaTex engine to xelatex.
