Where is \namefield detected?
Added by S. McKay about 10 years ago
Hi,
This isn't a major issue, but I have a style file that, among other things, sets up the front page of the exam. Thus, \namefield is in the style file but not in the source file. When I click layout detection, I am always warned that there is no namefield, but when I click on check layouts, it is correctly recognized. I assume that AMC just does a check for namefile in the source file. Is that correct? Is there any way to fix this misread? I would prefer not to have to check the warnings unless there really is a problem. (like I said, this is not major). I will not get rid of my style file, because it saves me a lot of time. So, I will live with the bogus warning if I have to.
Thanks,
S.M.

No. AMC checks that a namefield
has been used for each copy of the subject. Maybe your front page is considered to be a subject by AMC, and AMC does not find any namefield
in it. Can you build a minimal working source file that shows the problem, and post it, so that we can play with it to find a solution?

Sorry, I am embarrassed.
I had some code outside of the onecopy command. Everything works fine.
