Same ID for questions accross different groups

Added by Wenceslao González-Viñas over 4 years ago

Dear all,

I have several files each with a different group (eg. \element(calculus) vs \element{algebra}). Inside each group I named questions just P1, P2, and so on. Consequently, when I pick some questions of each file I end up obtaining the error message "question ID used several times ..."

Is there any simple way, other than rename all questions, to overcome this problem?

Thanks a lot,

Wenceslao

unfortunately, i don't think so.
Just add calculus. or calculus: see documentation (5.4.3.5 -Identifier)

Suppose you have 6 questions per group: you may pick up the first 3 one from one group and the last 3 one from the other.

May be using a counter.

You may also redefine the question and questionmult environments inside each group file, so that they add a prefix to each question ID, but I'd say that renaming all IDs with a prefix (replace-all in an editor) will be better.

Thanks a lot! I think that for now I will add the prefix.

You are doing a great job! Thanks again,
