Is there any way to ignore the check code?

Added by S. McKay over 4 years ago

I have an unusual situation. A collegue of mine reran latex and layout detection after he printed exams. He claims he did not remember doing so, but the check code (third number on barcodes) is different between his project and the actual exams. Thus, he does not get any recognized scans.

I have gone through and looked at individual pages, and everything is the same except for the last 6 boxes on the second row of the barcode.

Is there a way to tell AMC to ignore the check code? If there is, I think the scans will be recognized correctly, as everything else seems to be the same.

If there is not, then hopefully this will be a learning moment ...

Thanks.

May be a solution :

You can change le start number, adapt it to your test

\makeatletter\AMCid@check=52\makeatother

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Meanwhile, we figured out what happened and backed it out. He's happier now, but I'm still interested in the solution as a triage technique. I'll look into it.
