Reading the exam copies from resized printed answer sheets
Added by Roberto González over 5 years ago
Hi, everybody:
I recently created an exam with AMC, but unfortunately the copies were printed using a factor scale smaller than 100% (in other words, the copies were printed on the right paper size, but everything looks smaller than it should). Any way to get the copies read without reprinting them? It's the first time I have to face an issue like this using AMC.
In advance, thank you very much.

First of all, you can try to feed AMC with your scans.
If this is not working, you can try again increasing a little the parameter Scan/Detection parameters/Marks size max decrease from the preferences window.

Ok, I'll try as you propose. I was afraid of AMC not being able to detect the exam copies due to the printed sheets not fitting the expected dimensions (e.g. the distance between the corners). So, a different size shlouldn't be an issue apart from the size of the marks given by the students inside the answer boxes?
Kind regards.

If AMC properly detects the corner circles, there sould not be any problem.
If these circles are far greater or smaller than expected, AMC can miss them, but this can be avoided tweaking the parameters Marks size max decrease/increase.

It worked!
Just set the Marks size max decrease parameter to 0.35 (default value is 0.20).
Thank you very much!
