Printing configuration for Mac OS X installation (10.7.4)??
Added by Mar Marcos over 9 years ago
Hello,
I have problems when printing my questionnaires, basically the top grid falls outside of the page.
The printing method I am using is the default one (CUPS). I have tried printing to a file but the problem is that I obtain several files, which is not very handy when you are handling tens of questionnaires.
How can I solve this??
Thanks in advance for your help!

Is the top grid well positioned on the PDF subject? Is the paper size OK for your printer?

I am using a4paper in my LaTeX file.
I just tried changing the paper size configuration of my printer to A4 (instead of any size) but the grid is again outside.
When I print to file (I mean, preferences -> main -> printing method) the PDFs are just fine, in fact I have tried the data capture + marking with those files and everything works.

You're using a4 paper in your printer (not letter size), right?
Did you change the page margins in the file?
How about trying to add a \voffset for the document?

Ok, problem solved. I explain what I did just in case anybody else is having the same problem.
I have changed a few default options for my printer using cups, namely page size (A4), scaling (to fit page size), and paper for booklet (A4). In particular, I have changed the second parameter because I noticed that the scale when printing from AMC was too large (the grid was outside because of a scale problem rather than an offset one). These config options are not available from System Preferences application, by the way.
Thanks!
