Scoring strategy

Added by Raffaele Borrelli about 9 years ago

Hi all,
I have question on scoring strategy. My examination comprises two parts a pure mcq test and a set of numeric choice questions.
For each numeric choice question I set up a certain score (1.5) using both the "scoreexact" and "scoreapprox" options in AMCNumericChoices.
What I would like to do if to develop a formula in which I can check separately the scores of the two sections.
AMC automatically sums all the scores so at the moment I have to print the csv file and process it separately which works nicely, but I was
wondering if there was a quicker way using the "formula" command and some of the global variables.
All the things I have tried don't work.
For example I couldn't find a way to set a variable to certain value if a numeric choice question is answered correctly.

Thanks for the help,
Raffaele

What I would like to do if to develop a formula in which I can check separately the scores of the two sections.

You can name all numeric questions with a prefix like numeric:, and then tick Score groups in OpenOffice marks export.

For example I couldn't find a way to set a variable to certain value if a numeric choice question is answered correctly.

At present you can't set a variable value for all questions, see #273.

I have just tried that possibility and indeed it is exactly what I need.
Isn't it possible to add this feature to the csv export as well?

Thanks
